    Just bought a new set of Tumi and wanted some new straps for extra security. These straps are sold and so are the plastic latches and lock. My ONLY question/concern is what the purpose of the elastic section on the strap. With the strap able to stretch, you can essentially stretch and pull the strap right off the bag in 5 seconds defeating the purpose of the security lock.

    It worked perfectly for my luggage. I’ve used it 4 times. For me it’s more about peace of mind in case my zipper fails. (I also use TSA approved locks).

    The last time I used it I found a TSA note inside my suitcase saying it had been inspected. But this strap was put right back on … no issues.

    The main adjustment is the same as other straps. The main advantages are TSA proved combination lock. elasticated section allows for quick removal and reapplication if suitcase expands or contracts a little bit. colors Helps identify your pieces at the end of the journey, also if suitcase catch breaks you can use straps to get it home.
